Today we had our test. I didn't answer the first couple questions but other than that I feel like I did okay. After that I went to the resource and I worked on ACC.

Today we didn't do mental math. Instead we got to work on questions to work on our tests tomorrow. I feel like I know what I am doing. I just hope that I my mind won't blank on the test tomorrow.

In class today we did mental math and then took notes. The notes we took were on S.A and volume relationships. I didn't really get it at first but than as we went on I kind of figured it out more. After notes I did some ACC.

So, today was the retest and I studyed all week for this test. Once I got the test my mind totally blanked and I couldn't remember anything. So I didn't do very good. So I guess I'm going to have to do ACC faster so I don't fail this class.

In class today we worked on adding and subtracting rational expressions. I like doing this because to me its just kinda a fun thing. I get this alot better than most of the other units and I am going to work hard so that I can get to it soon on ACC.

Today in class we took notes on rational expressions. I pretty much get how to do this. For the rest of the class I than workedon ACC.

Today in class we didn't do mental math but we did take some notes on Rational Expressions. We didn't take to many notes on that subject so for the remainder of the period we worked on ACC. I printed out a test and a new excerise.

Today in class we had an optional test on Trig. I didn't take it because I don't feel that I am ready to take the test yet. I wil be prepared when we take our next test though. Instead of the test I worked on my ACC in the caf. I finished quite alot of it.

Today in class we didn't do mental math but we did get out tests back.I was very disappointed in my test mark and will do better in my next test. We mainly just had a work class which gave me a chance to get my ACC almost done. I haven't been doing any blogs for the past couple days because I have been sick.

Today in class we didn't do mental math but we did finish up our notes on the Law of Cosines. Now I'm finishing up my homework. Our class is getting cut of early due to a prep rally today.

Today in class we did mental math and then took notes. We took notes on the Law of Sines and Cosines. A main rule in the law of sines is SinA/a, SinB/b and SinC/c. We also learned that to use the law of sines you must have at least one pair. You can only use law of cosines if you know 3 sides but no angles and if you know 2 sides and the included angle. Also you never use the law of cosines more the once in per problem. For homework we got assigned lessons 19 and 25 question one to six.

In class today we didn't do mental math, we finished up our test corrections instead. I am really glad we went through the test because I underdstand it alot better. I am going to start studying and practicing for my retest because I need to get my mark up in this class.

Today in class we did mental math and we are doing test corrections also. I am glad that we are doing these corrections because it is really helping me out. I am starting to get it know so I will be doing more of this work so I can master it. For the weekend I am going to take home my acceleracted math home to work on.

Today in class we didn't do MM or takes notes. Instead we had a work period. I feel like I am finally starting to get the graphing of linear equations. I hope that instead of jumping into Trig tomorrow we get one more work period for those of us who may just need a little more time.

Today in class we didn't do mental math but we did take more notes on trig. Tomorrow is out test and I am nervous because graphing linear equations just isn't sinking in for me.

In class today we did mental math and took notes. The notes we took were on the starting of the new unit trigonometry. We learned a little about how to find out the lengths or point on a triangle. I remember all the formulas by this saying "Two Cats Sitting On An Orange And Holding Hands." I think I will be able to understand this unit because so far it is making sense to me. We also leared a bit about the Pythagoream Theorem and Triples.

Today in class we didn't do mental math but we did take notes. I didn't pay as much attention as I should have because I was trying to finish by ACC and I did. I also printed off a test and a exercise.

In class today we did mental math than we got a work period. I really like having work periods because it gives me a chance to get caught up on missing work. I have to start doing my homework though because I could learn the work but I have a problem about doing work at home.

Today in class we did mental math and took more notes on rationalizing denominators. I get this unit alot better than most of the other ones. I was sick the past weekend so I couldn't get my test review done. I will try and get it done during the day though. Lately I have had troubles being able to do my homework so I found some ideas on other sites for homework tips and sent them to myself.

Today in class all we did was mental math beacause we have a prep rally in a couple minutes. I got the book for math and I feel that it will help me increase my mark alot. I got my report card today and I was not satisfied with my marks.

Today in class we took notes on how to solve exponentials equations and rationalizing demonitors. I understood how to solve the equations but there are some things that I didn't really understand though.I am really hoping to get a text book or something to help me. I understand how to rationalize denominators and I found a really good site to help you with that which will be posted below.

In class today we had another work period. I got more caught up with my ACC and will probably finish the booklet tonight. I like that we are having the test next week. It gives me time to work on it more and get how to do certain things I am having some trouble on. We are getting our tests back but I'm nervous to get mine back because I don't think I did very good. :s

Today in class we had another work period. It gave me a chance to catch up on my ACC which I really needed to do. I have some more for homeworkon the weekend but right now all I can think about is halloween. :)

Today in class we did mental math and had a catch up class. I like having these kind of classes because I can catch up on homework and I usually end up getting things alot better. Than if I was doing it at home.

In class today we went over more radical simplification. I got how to do it alot better and I feel alot more comfortable with these kind of questions. I could still need a little more practice but other than that I feel I'm doing well. Today for homework we have a new sheet that we got that is due at the end of tomorrrows class.

Today in class we learned rules for exponents and radicals. I like that we are doing some of the questions for the assignments. It helps we understand how to do it alot better. For homework we have exercise 21 questions one to fourteen.

Today in class we started a new lesson. We are learning about exponents and radicals. I'm not to sure what radicals are to I will be sure to check that out so I don't have any unwanted trouble with this lesson. We didn't do any mental math this morning so I had time to print 0ut an ACC test.

In class today we took some notes to prep for the test. We reviewed on how to write an equation in any form when givin only two points. I feel these notes helped me to understand and be better prepared for the test.

Today in class we did a couple things. We first got back our tests which I feel I did okay on. I still have to work on my exercises and will probably try and get extra help because I still don't really get it. We also learned about relationships between parallel/ perpendicular lines.

Parallel- lying in the same plane but never meeting no matter how far extended.

Perpendicular-meeting a given line or surface at a right angle.

In class today we learned two more ways to find the slope between two points. These ways are
1.y=mx+b
2.Standard form: Ax+By=0

For the second equation we learned a trick to help figure it out. The trick is:m=-(A/b) and b=-(C/B)

Today in class was just a work day. I worked on my accelerated math because I still have to master some more objectives. I will most likely take it home for homework because I feel I am behind.

Today in precalc we learned about linear equations. and how to find the equation of a line through two points.
The steps for this lesson are:
1. Find the slope.
m=(y1-y2)/(x1-x2)

2. Pick a tool. ( only learned one)
y-y1=m(x-x1)

Today in class we first did mental math than learned how to graph straight lines('graphing linear equations'). All linear equations are in the form y=x. For homework we have exercise 6, 1-20.

In class today we learned about slope. Slope is the measure of 'slantedness' of a line. Defined by Mr.Maksymchuk. Below are three formulas to figure out the slope.

1. m=rise/run
2= deltaX/deltaY
3. m=(y1-y2)/(x1-x2)

In class today we took notes on midpoints and slops. We learned a new formula on how to find the coordinates of a mid point the formula is,((x1+x2)/2(y1+y2)/2). If you don't get how to do the formula I found a good site to help you. The link is posted below:

Today in precalc we learned the formula for plotting points on a graph. We were assigned to do questions 1-9 on assignment 4 in the formula we just used. We were taught to do the pithagoriam therom.

Today in class we mostly took notes. We got a geoboard and reviwed how to do a little but of graphing. We have three question on excercise 4 to complete and i still hae excercise 10 to question 7 to complete.

Today in class we learned how to factor the difference of squares. That would like something like this x2-25. To find the answer you would factor the last term. For homework we have Lesson 10 questions 1-7 due for tomorrow.

Factoring Sept.24/09

For the lesson today in we learned how to do factoring more in different ways. We learned how to use the formula AxB+CxB to be able to factor difficult equations. Below are two sites that could be able to help if you are having trouble with this unit.

Pre Calc Wednesday Sept,23/09

In Pre Calc today we wrote a short test. The test included factoring, dividing and multiplying monomials, binomials and trinomials. Also at the end of the test was a clever bonus question. After the test you were to work on other math work like your acceleratered math.
